## Supporting children

Children may fear they caused the separation or will be abandoned. Reassure children that separation was not their fault and they will be loved and cared for. Use direct language to explain that you are not getting back together. Karate, yoga, or art classes can help children channel their emotions.

LawCoachBC provides free, personalized guidance for people moving through separation or divorce. LawCoachBC provides legal information, not legal advice. LawCoachBC includes a 6-month coParenter subscription. The coParenter application helps parents keep their focus on the children. Users have unlimited access to a coParenter professional to help resolve disputes.
